What is the Advanced Energy Economy?
Founded in 2011, Advanced Energy Economy (AEE) is a national business organization representing the entire advanced energy industry. As a business federation, AEE is dedicated to promoting a better business climate for advanced energy and helping American companies and workers succeed as the world transitions to a smarter energy future.
Who is the Advanced Energy Economy?
The AEE is comprised of state and regional 'chapters'. The CCIA is very pleased to be one of the founding AEE chapters. Our name does not change, our focus on making Colorado the best place in the U.S. for cleantech businesses does not change - our commitment to the local cleantech community does not change. Our partnership with AEE simply enables us to work together to leverage success at the state and regional level for impact on the national stage through outreach, policy efforts, communications and media programs.
AEE chapters are the local voice of AEE and are at the core of AEE's grassroots efforts. AEE chapters work to nurture and promote their local advanced energy clusters, improve the business climate in which their clusters operate, and make use of resources provided by AEE to strengthen their capabilities in areas such as communications, public policy, and industry data.
In addition to CCIA's role with the AEE, we are very pleased to announce that former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter,
currently the Director of the Center for the New Energy Economy (CNEE) at Colorado State University, is a member of the AEE Board of Directors.
